FRIENDS OF ANLABY HOUSE GROUNDS

Published: 18 May 2026

The Friends of Anlaby House Grounds is a small group of volunteers who meet from time to time at this much-loved public open space to look after and develop it for nature and for the enjoyment of the people who use it as a recreational space. The site is a mix of woodland and a small area of grassland, accessed from Beverley Road.

The Friends regularly litter pick, help maintain the pathways, and plant appropriate species of flowers, shrubs and trees to increase biodiversity on the site and create habitats for wildlife of all kinds. Thanks to the support of the Parish Council, there are plans to expand these planting activities and also host nature-related events at the Grounds in the future.
